In July 2025, the town of Rakovski was struck by a powerful storm that left behind significant damage — flooded streets, collapsed buildings, fallen power lines, and uprooted trees. The hurricane-force winds, reaching speeds of over 80 km/h, and the hailstorm caused panic among residents of the town and surrounding villages. Parts of Rakovski, as well as the villages of Belozem, Kalekovets, and Stryama, were left without electricity due to damage to the power grid.

In response to the disaster and with care for those affected, UniCredit Bulbank made a donation to the Municipality of Rakovski to support recovery efforts and assist the local community. This is yet another example of how business can be an active partner in difficult times, when solidarity and timely support are of vital importance.
