Two new structured deposits Avangard guarantee that depositors will receive income even if indexes level face some slump

Bulbank starts to offer two new structured deposits Avangard in EUR and USD currency based on stock indexes. These products do not have any analog on the local market because depositors will receive income even if indexes level faces some slump. Both emissions are opened for enlistment till the id-December 2006. These new offers from Bulbank confirmed the leading position as well as the innovative approach of the bank.

Avangard Optimum in EUR currency

This is the first structured deposit on the local market that guarantees serious revenue at the end of the period. Avangard Optimum in EUR currency has three year period and depositors will receive 80% of the average size of the index growth or the absolute amount of 40% from the eventual slump. The dynamics of the following bourse indexes are watched - S&P 500 Index (SPX Index), Nikkei 225 Index (NKY Index) and DJ Eurostoxx Index (SX5E Index). Measures will be done once in the beginning and another 22 till the ned-2009.

For example if the income from the three indexes for the period is 35% /the example is based on historical facts/ then the client will receive 28% interest at the end of the period. When indexes face some slump of 8% the clients will receive 3.2% interest on the deposit at the end of the period

Avangard Strategy in USD currency

Avangard Strategy in USD currency is also with three years term. Revenues from the received investments depends from the generated income of three different investment strategies, bind with the relevant bourse indexes - goods, bonds and real estates. Likely return is 102% from the average growth during the period of S&P 500 Index (SPX), Nikkei 225 Index (NKY), DJ Eurostoxx Index (SX5E), FTSE 100 Index (UKX), EPRA European Real Estate Index(EPRA) (real estates) and Goldman Sachs Commodity Excess Return Index(GSCIER) (goods).

The option of indexes is balanced in different types of assets /bonds, real estates, goods/ and geographic regions which minimizes the risk from market slumps. The return with this investment is guaranteed because it is nearly impossible all three types of indexes to face some slump at one and the same time. Measures will be done once in the beginning and another three at the end of each year. At each measure of the three strategies will be considered only the highest one income which will increase the clients revenue at the deposit's term.
