Please plan your banking transactions in advance around the holiday period and the transition to the euro, in order to ensure that everything important to you is completed on time and without concern.
- Check the branch working hours
All branches of UniCredit Bulbank (including those with extended working hours) will operate until 13:00 on 30 December 2025. Until that time, cash transactions and in-branch transfers may be carried out.
- Arrange your payments in advance
Payments via Bulbank Mobile and Bulbank Online to other banks will be accepted until 14:00 on 30 December 2025, and payments to accounts held with UniCredit Bulbank until 19:00 on the same date (with the exception of transfers to budget accounts, which will be accepted until 14:00). Payments via SEBRA will be accepted until 16:00 on 23 December 2025.
- Ensure you have sufficient cash and card balances
During the period from 21:00 on 31 December 2025 until 01:00 on 1 January 2026, temporary interruptions in the operation of cards, ATMs and POS terminals may occur. We recommend that you secure the necessary funds in advance. Cash deposits in Bulgarian leva at ATMs will be possible until 10:00 on 30 December 2025. From 4 January 2026, deposits will be accepted in euro only.
- Please note that the electronic channels Bulbank Mobile and Bulbank Online will be temporarily unavailable for several hours on New Year’s Eve.
- Make payments at POS terminals in euro from 1 January 2026
The transition to the euro for all POS terminals will be automatic and will not require any action on your part.
- Prepare calmly for the transition to the euro
All accounts denominated in Bulgarian leva will be automatically converted at the fixed exchange rate of 1 euro = BGN 1.95583. Until 30.06.2026, you may exchange Bulgarian leva for euro at our branches free of charge.
