According to the Agency one reason for the strong position of the Bank is its more conservative strategy compared to its competitors
International rating agency Standard and Poor’s confirmed the long-term and the short-term credit rating of UniCredit Bulbank at BBB/A-3. This is the highest credit rating given to a Bulgarian bank and is identical to the rating of Bulgaria. The outlook is set as stable.
The rating reflects “the strong business position of the Bank, the strong capital and profit, the appropriate risk management, the financing and the liquidity”, Agency insiders said.
“We think that UniCredit Bulbank is strategically important bank from UniCredit Group”, Standard and Poor’s write in their official notice.
According to the rating agency, the strong business position of the bank is a result of “the leading local franchise, the more conservative strategy compared to the competitors on the market and the experienced management team”.
