For a smooth and seamless transition to the euro:UniCredit Bulbank removes the fee for cash deposits

• The bank encourages all customers to prepare for the transition to the unified European currency by depositing their money into an account now.

In the light of positive convergence reports and with a commitment to supporting its customers in making the transition to the unified European currency transparent, fair, and seamless, UniCredit Bulbank is launching its campaign "Ready for the Euro."

As part of this campaign, from today until the end of July, all individual customers of the bank will be able to deposit funds into their own accounts at cash desk without a fee, regardless of the amount or number of deposits during this period.

During the same period, the bank is also removing the fee for ATM deposits within the daily limit of 4,000 BGN.

This way, UniCredit Bulbank is making it easier for its customers to prepare for the euro adoption in advance, ensuring that on the given date, their BGN balances will be automatically converted into euros by the bank at the official fixed exchange rate of the Bulgarian National Bank, without any additional costs or actions required from the customer.

"By removing deposit fees for individuals, we want to reaffirm our commitment to being a reliable partner for our customers and to make their preparation for the euro adoption as smooth as possible," explained Borislav Genov, Director of Retail Banking at UniCredit Bulbank.

The bank continues to actively work on its preparations for the adoption of the euro. All activities and system adjustments are progressing according to plan to ensure a smooth transition into the eurozone.

Information Campaign in Progress

UniCredit Bulbank has already launched its informational communication campaign under the slogan "A Bank with European Standards." The goal is to inform and support customers and the public throughout the transition to the new currency.

On the bank’s official website, a dedicated section called "Important about the Euro" provides key information and answers to frequently asked questions. This section will be regularly updated. Customers can also receive information about the euro adoption process at any UniCredit Bulbank branch or through the Customer Contact Center.

Dual Currency Visualization is Now a fact

At the beginning of the year, UniCredit Bulbank introduced dual currency visualization for its tariffs, customer statements, and online banking. Since February, customers have been able to see values in both BGN and EUR, making it easier to navigate the upcoming currency conversion process. A double visualization of the values on the bank's website is currently underway.
