The Bank preserves the best credit rating for the country, adjudged by the authoritative Agency

The international rating agency Standard &Poor’s has confirmed the credit rating of UniCredit Bulbank. In such way the Bank preserves its long-term rating ВВВ+ and the short-term А-2 with steady perspective. This is the highest credit appraisal for the country, that has been adjudged by S&P.

The support on which UniCredit Bulbank can rely on behalf of its major shareholder, its leading position on the market and the steady financial profile of the Bank are among the major reasons, which has formed the opinion of the analysts from the authoritative Agency to preserve the high appraisal of the Bank. “UniCredit Bulbank is strategically important for UniCredit Group, the main target of which is to achieve dynamic growth in New Europe” – is mentioned in the rating report, as well.

UniCredit Bulbank, which is a part of the European financial group UniCredit is the first Bulgarian Bank with assets of over BGN 10 billion as to the middle of 2008. UniCredit Bulbank has received numerous awards for its activity, among which are “The best Bank in Bulgaria” for 2006, 2007 и 2008 and “The best Investment Bank” for 2007, 2008, according to the financial journal Euromoney, “Bank of the Year for Bulgaria” from The Banker, “The best Bank in Bulgaria ” from Global Finance in 2007 and 2008, etc.
