More than 13,000 people follow UniCredit Bulbank in the most popular social networks in Bulgaria. The eve of Facebook’s ninth anniversary (4th February) finds the Bank actively communicating with its clients through this channel on a daily basis for already four years, with the number of its profile’s fans tripling in 2012. Simultaneously, the Bank has been active also in Twitter, Google+, YouTube, FourSquare, Linked In.
“A significant part of the present and future clients of the Bank are online. We are trying to be close to them through all channels possible“, Georgi Grancharov, online communications expert in UniCredit Bulbank says. According to him, it is essential for the Bank to have its own blog, offering different, interesting and useful information.
A Facebook profile with nearly 2,500 followers has also the CEO of UniCredit Bulbank, Levon Hampartzoumian. Nearly 2,500 users of the social network keep track of his activities there on a regular basis.
Presence in the social networks is in the core of UniCredit Bulbank’s strategy for management of its online reputation. Early in January, UniCredit Bulbank joined one more of the fastest growing social media on a global scale – Pinterest. In its corporate profile there the Bank shares visual content from various events and in the future it will surprise followers with photos from its internal initiatives, green campaigns, exhibitions, etc.
Developing one more online communication channel, UniCredit Bulbank proves that it never stops working towards a more direct communication with its clients in cyberspace.
The creation and development of the Bank’s blog is an integral part of its strategy for communication with its existing and future clients through the Internet and its presence in social networks. Moreover, UniCredit Bulbank is the first of UniCredit’s 22 banks in 22 countries to start its own corporate blog.
