In connection with the upcoming adoption of the euro as of 01.01.2026, we inform our clients about key changes in the service of the Bank’s ATMs.
What is changing?
Cash withdrawals:
- You will be able to withdraw BGN from the Bank’s ATMs until 31.12.2025. From the first hours of 01.01.2026, withdrawals will be only in Еuro.
Depositing funds:
- Until 10:00 a.m. on 30.12.2025, ATMs with a deposit function will be available for deposits in BGN. The deposit function will be active again in the first days of January 2026, accepting only Еuro banknotes.
- All bank branches providing cash services remain at clients’ disposal for depositing BGN amounts at the counter without a fee in the period from 01.01.2026 to 30.06.2026.
IMPORTANT: When performing deposit operations, clients should prepare the banknotes in advance and ensure that no external objects are placed in the device, as they may impede the processing of the transaction.
- Existing bank cards remain valid without the need for reissuance. The balance, PIN code, account and card number, as well as the ways they can be used at ATMs and POS terminals, remain unchanged.
Additional changes effective from 01.01.2026:
- After 01.01.2026, the maximum amount of a single deposit operation will be increased to EUR 9,990. The maximum number of banknotes depends on the ATM model.
- A Declaration of origin of funds will be required for a single deposit operation for amounts equal to or higher than EUR 750.
- The “Bill Payment” menu at ATMs will be removed, while the option to pay bills via the B-pay menu remains available.
