Bulbank Provides SMS Notification for Card Transactions

Bulbank informs its customers for the transactions and balances on their bank cards via mobile phone short message. Within 10 minutes after the ATM or POS (not imprinter) transaction is being implemented the client receives SMS on his mobile phone. The message contains information for the type of the bank card, date and time of the transaction, the amount, currency and the merchant, where the transaction was made.

Ascertaining a fraud, the new service of Bulbank allows the bank card to be blocked immediately calling the 24/7 call center of the Bank and thus suspending any deceiving transactions.

The service is available for all cardholders of Maestro, Visa and MasterCard, issued by Bulbank and customers of the acting Bulgarian mobile operators.

To activate the service, the customers should fill in and deposit Request for registration for SMS services. After the registration is made successfully the service is active and the customer receives SMS on his GSM number with personal identification code. After sending SMS on the short telephone number 190091 for the subscribers of Mtel and 088190091 – for subscribers of GloBul, containing N+ personal code, the customer receives information for the available balances for all bank cards, subscribed to the service.

The clients receive SMS on their mobile phone after each ATM or POS transaction with the bank card subscribed to the service.

The annual subscription fee for the service is BGN 5 irrespective the number of the cards included and the fee for each received SMS is as per the tariff of the mobile operation, which the customer is subscribed. The fees for the service are payable upon a deposit account amounting of BGN 5, BGN 10, BGN 20 or BGN 50 according to customer’s preference.
