After nine years of presence on the Bulgarian market, the assets of Pioneer Investments - the biggest mutual funds company in Bulgaria, exceed BGN 215 mio. Thus the company confirms its number one position by market share, which reached 27.5% from the market of Bulgarian and foreign collective investment schemes (CIS), offered in Bulgaria.
“The undoubtedly successful presence of Pioneer Investments is a result of both the successful distribution of the funds offered by the company through UCB’s branch network and the excellent performance of the savings plan which we proposed in April 2010”, Yavor Achev – Pioneer Investment’s representative for Bulgaria, explained.
The savings plan where the client can choose the amount of the monthly installment, the fund to save in and the period (3 or 5 years), enjoys exceptional interest among the clients and so far more than 4,800 savings plans were sold. Statistical data of Pioneer and of UniCredit Bulbank show that the average monthly installment under the savings plans is EUR 25, which means that smaller investors’ interest in the financial markets returns. Most preferred are the funds in shares – mostly shares of the developing markets and the emerging European and Mediterranean region, as well as Commodity Alpha, due to the upward trend in basic raw materials’ prices.
Data on Pioneer’s assets show that the 2008 drop has been overcome and with the achieved EUR 110 mio as of end 2010 Pioneer Investments’ reached the 2007 levels when the investment market was optimism-driven.
