The number of utilized consumer loans has increased by 6% in June and July compared to the winter and spring months of the year
In summer months, June and July, households received more consumer loans, however, the average amount of each loan decreased. This is clear from information of UniCredit Bulbank on lending to individuals in summer. The number of utilized consumer loans has increased by 6% in June and July compared to the winter and spring months of the year, reaching almost 5 thousand on average per month. In July alone, compared to May, the bank provided 12% more consumer loans to households.
The average amount of consumer loans provided in summer has decreased by around BGN 100, reaching up to BGN 7 300, UniCredit Bulbank’s analysis shows. The average monthly volume of consumer loans utilized in the months of June and July has increased by 4%, up to almost BGN 35 million compared to the average volume for the period from January to May 2013. In July the growth even reached 8%.
In response to many Bulgarian households’ need for budget support in summer months, in August and September UniCredit Bulbank offers consumer loans in EUR with a fixed interest rate for a period of five years. They can be used for financing summer holidays, house repair works or the preparation of children in the family for the start of the school year.
In addition, especially for all clients who have school children the bank has made available an addition bonus for this loan – Bonus for the Excellent. The bank will refund the full amount of the ninth installment (principal and interest) to each client who has a school child and who has regularly repaid the first nine monthly installments.
