Notification of changes in the General Terms and Conditions for Bank accounts, Bank Cards, POS terminals, the services Bulbank Online and Bulbank Mobile and in the Tariff for Legal Entities and Sole Traders - in force as of 01.01.2026
Dear customers,
We inform you that in connection with the euro adoption as the official currency in the Republic of Bulgaria and on the basis of the Euro Introduction Act and the related amendments to a number of regulatory acts, including the Payment Services and Payment Systems Act and Regulation 3 of the Bulgarian National Bank of 18.04.2018 on the terms and conditions for opening payment accounts, for executing payment transactions and for using payment instruments, as of 01.01.2026, changes related to this and some other changes are being introduced in the following documents:
- General Terms and Conditions on Opening, Servicing and Closing Bank accounts and the “Business Leader” Package Programme of Legal Entities and Sole Traders and for the Provision of Payment Services:
- The texts concerning the systems and hours for making transfers have been updated, taking into account the euro adoption as the official currency of Bulgaria;
- The texts relevant to direct debit in BGN have been removed due to the discontinuation of the service;
- Texts have been introduced for the execution of transfers based on the client's prior consent, including for the limited offering of the direct debit in EUR service in the SEPA area, for other automatic utility payments and for intrabank transfers for official debt collection;
- Changes related to the channel through which information on account movements and balances is provided, in the absence of an explicit choice by the client or in the event of impossibility of providing this information for reasons beyond the control of the Bank, as the information will be provided through the bank's electronic channels;
- Additional changes in the texts in connection with notifying the bank of a change in the information and documents related to the identification of the client;
- Other changes related to the document update.
- General Terms and conditions for Bank Cards for Business Clients and for the Providing of Payment Services with the Use of Bank Cards as Electronic Payment Instruments:
- The texts relevant to direct debit are removed due to the discontinuation of the service;
- The charging of a monthly fee for servicing and maintaining a card account is regulated in the event that, after closing the main bank card, the obligations on which were repaid from this card account, there is cash remaining on the card account and the authorized user has not indicated how the available funds should be provided to him;
- Other changes, related to the update of the document.
- General Terms and Conditions for Servicing payments with Payment and Prepaid Cards at a POS Terminal Device: The changes are related to the adoption of the euro as the official currency in the Republic of Bulgaria.
- General Terms and Conditions for the provision of Bulbank Online and Bulbank Mobile electronic banking services:
- Texts are being introduced for the "Periodic Payments" service. The service for executing automatic periodic payments can now only be requested through a subscription in "Bulbank Online", eliminating the possibility of requesting through a branch of the Bank;
- Other changes, related to the update of the document.
- Tariff for Legal Entities and Sole Traders:
- All values of products and services provided in BGN before the date of the introduction of the euro are dually displayed in both currencies EUR and BGN, and from 01.01.2026. the display of values in EUR will be leading, followed by the display of values in BGN, in compliance with the rules for currency conversion and rounding under the Law on the Introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Bulgaria. The period of dually displayed values in EUR and BGN, according to the law, is until 08.08.2026;
- Limits and thresholds for performing operations, including those related to fees and commissions, for performing transactions with financial instruments, for ATMs and cards are presented in EUR;
- Due to the discontinuation of the direct debit service in BGN, the fees and commissions related to it have been removed;
- Changes related to the decommissioning of payment systems in BGN;
- Other changes, related to the update of the document.
The amended General Terms and Conditions for Opening, Servicing and Closing Bank Accounts of Individuals and for Providing Payment Services and Instruments are available at the Bank's branches and on its website.
- The amended General Terms and Conditions on Opening, Servicing and Closing Bank accounts and the “Business Leader” Package Programme of Legal Entities and Sole Traders and for the Provision of Payment Services are available here;

With the present notification, UniCredit Bulbank AD fulfills its obligation, according to Art. 62 of the Payment Services and Payment Systems Act and informs the payment services users hat it reckons they have accepted the changes in the conditions of the Framework agreement, unless they notify the Bank that they do not accept these changes before the date of entry into force of the changes. Provided that the payment service users does not accept the changes, the Bank informs that the users have the right to terminate the Framework agreement and any other related contracts, before the date on which are proposed of entry into force of the changes, without being responsible for costs and compensation.
