Announcement for upcoming changes in GTC for servicing payments on POS Terminal - 19.03.2023

Dear Clients,

We hereby inform you that from 19.03.2023 changes to the General Terms and Conditions of UniCredit Bulbank AD for servicing payments with payment and prepaid cards at a POS terminal will take effect as follows:

• Providing the possibility to accept payment and prepaid cards of the UnionPay brand for making a cashless payment at a POS terminal;
• Making arrangements for the possibility for the Bank to give notifications/notices to clients also by means of an electronic statement;
• Providing the possibility for the real POS terminal serviced by the Bank to be owned by the client, with a corresponding change in the relevant provisions of the General Terms and Conditions;
• Providing the possibility for use of a software POS terminal (ePOS), including a definition of a software POS terminal and Instructions for installing and accepting payments with Visa and MasterCard payment and prepaid cards through a software POS terminal;
• Making arrangements for the right of the Bank to limit the brand range of payment and prepaid cards, which can be accepted at a software POS terminal (ePOS);
• Supplementing and revision of the wording of item 6 under Section I, which regulates the termination of the Agreement for servicing payments made by payment and prepaid cards at a POS terminal;
• Drafting changes for a more concise and clear wording of the texts contained in the document.

By this notification UniCredit Bulbank AD fulfills its obligation as a payment service provider in accordance with art. 62 of the Payment Services and Payment Systems Act to inform its clients (payment service users) of any changes to the framework agreement concluded between them by giving a two-month prior notice. 

The Bank herewith informs the payment service users that it considers that they have accepted the changes to the conditions of the framework agreement, unless they notify the Bank of their refusal to accept the changes before the effective date of the changes.  In case a payment service user does not accept the changes, he/she shall have the right to terminate with immediate effect the framework agreement and its accompanying agreements before the proposed effective date of the changes without being liable for any charges or indemnity.
