Terms and conditions for use of the Payment to a Phone Number functionality of Bulbank Mobile (e-banking service of UniCredit Bulbank AD)
1. General information
Payment to a Phone Number (intrabank or interbank instant mobile payments using the blink P2P service) is a functionality of Bulbank Mobile e-banking service of UniCredit Bulbank AD (“the Bank”), which provides a possibility to order and receive money transfers to and from an individual using his/her phone number saved in the Contacts on a device with an activated service. The activation, changes and deactivation of the functionality are done by the person (user of the service) in his/her personal profile in Bulbank Mobile. Deactivation can also be done by an employee of the Bank, following a request by the user.
The functionality is activated by accepting these general terms and conditions with the “Accept” scroll button in Bulbank Mobile.
2. Requirements for using the functionality:
- The user should use the Bulbank Mobile service as a private individual.
- Upon activation of the functionality, the user can choose the international bank account number (IBAN) of his/her account opened in BGN with UniCredit Bulbank AD. The selected account is then linked to the mobile phone number of the device with an activated Bulbank Mobile service and on it transfers from other users can be received, provided that they also have activated the Payment to a Phone Number functionality.
- The functionality is applicable only to accounts of individuals opened with UniCredit Bulbank AD or another payment service provider certified by BORICA AD for instant mobile payments using the blink P2P service.
- Only a single account can be linked to the mobile phone number of the user. The user has the option to change from the relevant menu the account for receiving transfers. Deposit accounts and debt service accounts for credit cards cannot be used for the purposes of the functionality.
- In order to be able to order transfers using a mobile phone number, the user shall provide consent that through the Bulbank Mobile service the Bank may access the Contacts list on the device on which it has been activated. The access to the phone numbers from the Contacts list will be possible only at the time and for the purposes of use of the functionality by the user, i. e. – a money transfer and choosing a recipient using the mobile phone number. As the administrator of the unified registry for instant mobile payments using the blink P2P service, BORICA AD will access the data of all users, who have activated the functionality.
- After consent has been granted for the Bank to have access through the BulbankMobile service to the Contacts list on the device on which the service has been activated, the user will see on his/her Contacts list the mobile phone numbers of the persons who are subscribed to the Payment to a Phone Number service, as well as a photo associated with the person in the appropriate telephone directory (or other image registered with the person in the telephone directory), in case the person in the user's telephone directory has a visual photo / other image. Upon deactivation of the functionality in Bulbank Mobile, the user will no longer be accessible (or visible) as a potential recipient on the Contacts list of persons who have activated Payment to a Phone Number.
- If the user does not wish to grant his/her consent for the Bank to have access through the Bulbank Mobile service to the Contacts on the device on which the service has been activated, he/she will only be able to receive transfers but not to order transfers via the Payment to a Phone Number functionality.
3. Receiving and ordering transfers
3.1. Receiving transfers:
A user who has activated the functionality will be able to receive a transfer using a mobile phone number from another user who has activated the same functionality. The transfers will be received on the account indicated by the recipient for the purposes of the functionality.
3.2. Ordering transfers:
A user who has activated the functionality will be able to order a transfer using a mobile phone number to another user who has also activated this functionality. For ordering a transfer to a recipient who has activated the Payment to a Phone Number functionality, the user will have to select from his/her Contacts list the mobile phone number of the recipient. The payment order contains the name and the international bank account number (IBAN) of the recipient’s account that the latter has indicated for the purposes of the functionality.
4. Other terms and conditions
By confirming that he/she has read and accepts these general terms and conditions, the user:
- Declares that he/she is aware of and agrees that his/her names and the international bank account number (IBAN) of the account of his/her choice for the purposes of the Payment to a Phone Number should be visible to other users who have activated the functionality at UniCredit Bulbank AD or at another payment service provider certified by BORICA AD for instant mobile payments using the blink P2P service and have saved in the Contacts on their device with an activated Bulbank Mobile service the mobile phone number of the user's device.
- Declares that he/she is familiar with and accepts the General Terms and Conditions for the provision of electronic banking services Bulbank Online and Bulbank Mobile, the General Terms and Conditions for opening, servicing and closing bank accounts of individuals and for providing payment services and instruments, as well as the Bank's Tariff for fees and commissions for individuals
