Antoaneta Curteanu graduated from the Faculty of Finance and Accounting from the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest (1986-1991) and the Graduate School of Banking in Lousiana State University, USA (1994-1996). Antoaneta Curteanu is a founding member of the Business Women Network Association in Romania and author of the book ‘Factoring in international trade’.
Antoaneta Curteanu has more than 18 years of experience at UniCredit and 25 years in the banking system. Between 2005-2007, she was Executive Vice President and Member of the Management board of UniCredit Romania. In the period 2007-2010 Curteanu was Deputy Director for the Corporate Division and Global Transaction Banking at UniCredit Bank Romania. In 2010, she became CEO of UniCredit Leasing Romania.
Her consistent focus on achieving excellent business results and her leadership skills contributed to her being announced ‘Chief Executive Officer of the Year’ in Romania in 2012. Forbes Romania included her in the list of the top 50 most influential business women in the country in 2014 and awarded her for exceptional achievements in the field of financial services at the women gala evening of the magazine in 2015.
Since May 2016, Antoaneta Curteanu is Head of Corporate and Investment Banking and Private Banking in UniCredit Bulbank, and member of the Management board of the bank.
