Training the next generation of researchers, analysts, planners and thinkers is central to UniCredit Group’s core mission of economic, social and cultural sustainability.
Providing financial support for serious scholarly studies is one way we can contribute to that mission.
At this purpose, in March 2009, the Board of Directors of UniCredit Group established a private Foundation in memory of the Knight of Labor Ugo Foscolo former chairman of Banco di Roma. The Foundation is charged with sustaining academic initiatives in the fields of economics and finance, including to grant scholarships and fellowships.
The Foundation already published the announcements for 3 scholarships and 1 fellowship in the academic year 2010-2011, as described in the following:
![]() | Aimed at highly talented young students of all nationalities graduated from an Italian university in the fields of economics or finance and planning to continue their studies abroad in a Ph.D. program. The Crivelli Scholarships are granted for the academic year 2010-2011 and may be renewed for a second year. They are offered in the form of an annual sum of € 25,000 each (plus tuition fees). The deadline is December 15, 2009. |
Offered to highly talented young students of all nationalities, who have graduated from any University within the 22 European countries where UniCredit Group operates(*), in the fields of economics or finance and who plan to continue their studies abroad (at any University in Europe, including those EU countries where the Group is not present, such as UK, Spain, etc.) in a PhD course. This scholarship is offered for the academic year 2010-2011 and may be renewed for a second year. It is offered in the form of an annual sum of € 25,000 (plus tuition fees). The deadline is December 15, 2009.

For top European-trained researchers (EU 22 countries of the UniCredit Group perimeter), of all nationalities, who (i) have completed (or are going to complete) a PhD in economics or finance outside the EU Group perimeter, (ii) are teaching or conducting researches outside the EU Group perimeter, and (iii) intend to continue their work at any University within the EU Group perimeter. This fellowship will be offered for two years and may be renewed for further two years. It is offered in the form of an annual sum of € 60,000. The deadline is December 31, 2009.
