Short description of OP “Competitiveness”
Operational Programme “Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy 2007 – 2013” (in short OP “Competitiveness”) managed by the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism aims to remove the barriers that slow down the economic development of Bulgaria. The supported measures and activities have the objective to transform the Bulgarian economy into a dynamic knowledge-based business environment, promoting innovations and know-how. The operational programme puts an emphasis on increase of investments, development of innovative technologies and their practical uptake in order to stimulate exports on the basis of improved competitiveness of the business sector in Bulgaria. Priority shall be granted to the small and medium-sized enterprises in order to make them capable of coping with the EU Common Market challenges.
