The membership into the EU opens opportunities before the business and municipalities in Bul-garia and Unicredit Bulbank is prepared to support this process. The total financial frame for the amount of the subsidies granted from EU to Bulgaria, stated in the Operational programmes for the period between 2007 – 2013 is EUR 6,674 billion, whereby the companies in country can directly take advantage of those (applying for investment grant under a specific project) or indi-rectly (under projects with the Bank as intermediary or through participation in tenders for provid-ing of services, supplies or works). The support from the EU in the field of agriculture through subsidies amounts to EUR 2,609 billion.
